
Indian All-rounder Vijay Shankar was hurt during a practice session on Friday. He was hit on right hand as he tried to pull a short-pitch ball by Khaleel Ahmed.
According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, Vijay had been practicing with Khaleel for a net session when the incident occurred, although, the specifics of the injury have not been confirmed and an update is still awaited. Khaleel Ahmed is among the four players who were sent along with the team to UK for the net session practice.
The ball had hit the right hand of the batsman when Shankar rushed back to the changing room.
Team India will be playing their second Warm-up game on 28 May before starting their World Cup campaign against South Africa on 5 June.
