
After Shikhar Dhawan’s untimely exit from the ICC World Cup 2019, Team India suffered another setback as all-rounder Vijay Shankar was ruled out of the mega tournament as he sustained a toe injury in the net session against Jasprit Bumrah. The player suffered a non displaced fracture of the left toe and it would require him atleast three weeks to recover.
Karnataka batsman, Mayank Agarwal is all set to make his World Cup debut as he will replace injured Vijay Shankar in the squad. He will join the team in Birmingham where India is scheduled to play against Bangladesh on 2 July.
