Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson are all set to lead their respective teams to the Semi-Finals of the ICC World Cup 2019 scheduled for 9 July.

Team India secured a seven wicket win over Sri Lanka in their last group stage encounter that led them to the top of the Points Table leaving Australia behind by a single point. As the final four teams surfaced from the ten competing team. India, Australia, England and New Zealand will be competing in the Semi-Finals. India will come face-to-face with New Zealand whereas Australia gets to lock horns with England for their race to the finals.

On an interesting note Indian captain Virat Kohli and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson share a long history as this is not the first time the two captains will be leading their teams against each other in the Semi-Finals. They headed their teams in 2008’s U-19 World Cup semi-finals. And, once again we see history repeat itself.
Ravindra Jadeja, Trent Boult and Tim Southee had also participated in the U-19 semis 11 years ago. Indian skipper Virat Kohli helped India trump New Zealand by 3 wickets.
