INDvsSA: Another century for Rohit Sharma, achieves New feat

A new day, a new game brings yet another brilliant performance by non other than Rohit Sharma who once again gave Indian fans something to cheer for. With the last match of the series being played between India and South Africa at Ranchi’s JSCA Cricket Stadium, Rohit Sharma scored a fabulous century with a 117 runs. Although the number could have higher if the play hadn’t come to a halt due to bad light.

India got off to a bad start with three early dismissals, Rohit Sharma took control of the game and changed his aggressive style to a more controlled one and played according to the pitch. After lunch, he returned to the game with 14 fours and 4 sixes he scored a half-century and then century. This being Rohit’s sixth Test century.

With this century, Rohit became the second Indian opener to score three or more centuries in a Test series. Early, it had been Sunil Gavaskar who had reach this feat.

Rohit also surpassed West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer who had smashed 15 sixes in the series against Bangladesh. Rohit reached the 16 sixes mark.
