Ever since the World Cup came to a close, the speculations revolving around team captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma doesn’t seem to find an end, rather it is becoming a matter that requires immediate attention. BCCI has been trying to keep the matter under cover but recent events have added more fuel to the fire.
During the recently concluded mega tournament that saw India’s untimely exit in the Semi-Finals, rumours had taken round that the team was divided into two parts. One supported the team captain while the other sided with Rohit Sharma. It has been suggested that Rohit didn’t approve of Virat and Coach Ravi Shastri’s working style.
Post World Cup, Rohit unfollowed Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma on Instagram while captain continues to follow Rohit. The ‘follow’, ‘unfollow’ game took another turn as KL Rahul and Yuzvendra Chahal started following Anushka Sharma on Twitter. It seems they side with Kohli as Chahal plays for RCB under Kohli’s captaincy and Rahul gets captain’s support despite of his not so well performance in all forms of Cricket.
