
Mohammed Shami, a 28 year old pacer is in his best form and wishes to carry it to the World Cup in England. He was dropped from the ODI team after failing the mandatory yo-yo test but he made a fine comeback and made it to the final team that will be going to the World Cup. Shami is the fastest Indian player to get 100 wickets in ODIs.
Shami has faced many ups and downs not only in the professional but also in personal front as he was involved in a ugly spat with his wife Hasin Jahan.
Shami said on Tuesday “I am very thankful to Allah for another opportunity to play in the World Cup for our country. I am in my best form right now and want to carry this to the World Cup.” This is the second time Shami will be playing in the World Cup. Showing his excitement he said, “I am feeling the same rhythm as I had felt at the time of my International debut in 2013.” And he further thanked the team players to coaching staff and the management for the vote of confidence and support and feels that it’s time that he repays them back.
Mohammed Shami has played 63 ODIs for India where he has taken 113 wickets. After the World Cup 2015, he got injured and it took him two years to recover. After the rehab, he was selected for the 2016 World T20 team and since then, he has been consistent. He credited his return of international one day to the performance of the Test Cricket in 2018.
