
Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is at present serving the Indian Army and has joined 106 Territorial Army Battalion (Para) for two weeks in South Kashmir.

The 38-year-old cricketer is deployed in South Kashmir and is expected to remain with the troops till 15 August. Dhoni had joined the unit on Tuesday.
Army Chief Gen. Bipin Rawat stated, “When a citizen of India wants to don the military uniform then he has to be prepared to fulfill the task for which the uniform has been assigned to him. MS Dhoni has carried out his basic training and we know that he will be able to accomplish the task.”
