The four-match Test series between India and England is scheduled to begin from 5 February. The Test series is an important event in terms of World Test Championship. India is presently ranked at the first place in the championship while England is in the fourth place. Due to injury, Ravindra Jadeja has not been inlcuded in the team for the first two matches of the Test.

If the Indian team has to reach the final of the World Test Championship, then it will have to win the series by 2-0. However, during the first two matches, the Indian team is going to miss Ravindra Jadeja, who has played 91 Test matches so far in which he has taken 220 wickets. Out of this, he has taken 157 wickets on Indian soil.

Jadeja is a crucial player for the Indian team especially on the Indian pitches. He has taken 5 or more wickets 9 times in Test cricket and has been a consistent performer who starts getting turns from the first day and becomes more deadly on the fourth and fifth days.

Ravindra Jadeja was the second most successful bowler of the series when the England team visited India last time. He took 26 wickets in 4 matches of the series. Jadeja has taken a total of 45 wickets in 11 Tests against England. Once in a Test match against England, Jadeja took 10 wickets.
