The cricketer has surpassed former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to become the fastest indian Wicket-keeper to claim 50 dismissals in Test format.
The young cricketer played his 11th Test on Monday at Sabina Park, Jamaica against West Indies where he claimed his 50th dismissal when he got Kraigg Brathwaite out on Ishant Sharma’s ball.
Where former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni took 15 Test innings to celebrate 50 dismissals while Pant managed the feat in 11 innings.
India played marvelous cricket on West Indies tour where they played three-match T20s series, three-match ODI series and two-match Test series on the Caribbean islands against the host. India proved unbeatable throughout the three formats. On Monday, West Indies while chasing a 468-run target, lost the series 2-0 to India by 257 runs.
