Rohit Sharma reaches his career’s best ranking

After fabulous performance in the on-going ICC World Cup 2019, opener Rohit Sharma closes in on captain Virat Kohli who is at the top of the ICC One-Day International batting ranking chart. While Kohli retained his top position, Rohit Sharma attained the second rank after his fabulous performance in the World Cup.

Rohit Sharma became the first batsman to have scored five centuries in the World Cup and reached 885 points which is his career’s highest ranking. While Virat Kohli’s 442 runs which included five centuries enabled him to gain one point to reach 891 points.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam ranked third on the list with 827 points followed by Faf du Plessis who scored 820. Australian opener David Warner who had been absent on the list, re-entered the top 10 at number six after showcasing remarkable performance in the World Cup. Aaron Finch coming in the 10th position with 778 points.
