As the ICC World Cup 2019 is just a few weeks away, most of the players who are to participate in the mega tournament are still busy with the on-going Indian Premier League giving them hardly any time to prepare for the tournament. Most the overseas players have returned home for their preparations camps/sessions.
BCCI had announced its 15-members World Cup team on 15th April. The team is – Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik, Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya, Kedar Jadhav, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami
Among all this, the team is worried about the star all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s weakness which was revealed by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. During batting in the last Match, in the 15th over, Hardik once again missed Bhuvaneshwar Kumar’s short length ball and got caught out, concluding that most Indian batsmen have trouble playing short length balls.
This may create problems for the Indian team during the World Cup tournament which is to be played in England and Wales from 30 May.
