The World Cup is to begin on 30 May in England. The 15 members squad is all set to take on the rest of the teams playing in the World Cup. India is amongst the strong contenders for the World Cup title.
Many players would be playing their last World Cup owing to age, fitness issues and changing demands of the modern techniques. Among such players, India has a few names who may be contributing their expertise for the last time in the World Cup.
These players are:
Shikhar Dhawan is 34 year old and is considered to be amongst the finest opener we have seen. By the next World Cup, he will be 38 years of age and may not be physically fit as he is today. Dhawan was India’s highest run-getter in the last World Cup.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni
MS Dhoni is 37 years of age and is still capable of giving strong competition to the young players. His contribution as a wicketkeeper-batsman has been remarkable, he is always alert and keeps a good hold on the team. Since the start of the year, he has seen some fitness issues and in the next World Cup he will be 41 years of age.
Kedar Jadhav is an all-rounder and may be playing his last World Cup as he is 34 years of age.
After Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik is the next player we can think of when it comes to wicket keeping. He is currently 34 years of age and by the next World Cup he will be 38.
