As India continues it’s splendid performance in the last Test match of the West Indies tour, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah credited his superb hat-trick to captain Virat Kohli.
The skipper couldn’t hold his smile as he interviewed the best pacer a country could produce. On the second day of the Test against West Indies at Sabina Park, Jamaica, Jasprit Bumrah became the third Indian bowler to produce a Test hat-trick. Following the splendid performance, skipper interviewed the bowler, to which the pacer duly acknowledged the captain himself and credited the skipper for the hat-trick.
A video was shared on social media by BCCI that read, “I owe my hat-trick to you – Bumrah tells @imVkohli @Jaspritbumrah93 became the third Indian to take a Test hat-trick. Hear it from the two men who made it possible”

Bumrah’s sensational 6 for 16 on second day of the Test included wickets of Darren Bravo and Shamarh Brooks in the hat-trick, that helped restrict West Indies to a bare minimum of 87 for 7. The skipper stated that India’s pace battery – mostly comprising Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, and Bumrah – had been ‘outstanding’ for the team over the last two years.
Bumrah joined the list of Indian bowlers Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to be the only Indians to take Test hat-tricks.
