The India captain Virat Kohli masters the technique of captaincy. Many times he is seen putting his team before him and once again his gesture to welcome KS Bharat after he handed the winning trophy of India’s Test series triumph over Bangladesh left the young cricketer feeling overjoyed with the gesture.
Although, Bharat is yet to make his Test debut as he was included in the Test squad for Bangladesh series as a replacement for Wriddhiman Saha following Indian selection committee’s decision to release Rishabh Pant in order for him to get some time before the limited over series against West Indies next month.
After skipper’s welcoming gesture, opening batsman Rohit Sharma who had been standing next to the 26-year-old Bharat asked his to enjoy the moment.
“Virat bhaiya told me it’s a small gesture of welcoming you in the team. Enjoy it,” KS Bharat told the asianage.com.
“Then came Rohit bhaiya who was standing next to me. He told me to enjoy the moment. He said it is your time to enjoy and feel it. I was very nervous but was very happy the way they treated me,” said Bharat.
Bharat has played 69 first class cricket with a score of 3,909 runs that comprises of eight centuries and 20 half-centuries.
