Royal Challengers Bangalore also known as (RCB) is one of the original eight teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team has played 167 matches since 2008 from which they have won 78 and lost 84 matches. The team has made it to the finals three times, however, they lost every time. The team needs to make some drastic changes to win the IPL especially with their bowlers.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is loaded with some of the world’s best batsmen like captain Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Henrick Klassen, Shimron Hetmayer and Parthiv Patel. With Quinton de Kock out of the team, and the entry of Shimron Hetmyer and Marcus Stoinis, hitting through the middle overs is likely to be RCB’s strength this season. Another big strength of the team is Yuzvendra Chahal, he is one if the most successful wrist spinner in the IPL with 70 wickets in 54 games.
The big question arises here, is whether the team is making a mistake in picking out their players, like all-rounder Stoinis instead of purchasing a fast bowler or a quality wrist spinner, as the team lacks in their bowling department.
