The BCCI stated that the agenda of Ravi Shastri’s contract was not included in the meeting held between the Committee of Administrators (COA) and the BCCI in New Delhi a few days back. The current contract ends after the World Cup 2019. Can this mean that the Team India will be getting a new coach shortly after the World Cup?
Ravishankar Jayadritha Shastri, commonly known as Ravi Shastri, who is the current head coach of the Indian National Cricket Team was selected after Anil Kumble had resigned in July 2017. The same selection method will be followed this time as well for the coach and the supporting staff.
As per ESPNcricinfo, the BCCI may issue advertisements for the new coach after the World Cup 2019 and before the West Indies tour giving approximately two weeks to make the decision.
