Former South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir praised the Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and called him the world’s best cricketer. Imran Tahir has been playing for CSK for the last three seasons under Dhoni’s captaincy and wants to play even further.
“It is always a pleasure to play with that guy (Dhoni). Have been playing with him for the last three years. For me, he is a great, great human being,” said Tahir.
“He understands everybody, respects everybody. We love him. He is the guy who has got the knowledge and is the best in the world. You don’t have to say anything to him. He knows what field he needs to set for us, and we just need to come and bowl,” the leg-spinner told SportsKeeda.
Although, CSK could not reach the playoffs, but Tahir feels that in the upcoming season 2021, the Chennai team will make a big comeback and win the trophy.
Despite, of not being given too many opportunities at first in the last season he got to show some impressive skills in the last few games. Tahir was retained by the franchise for the upcoming season.
“We are hoping for a very good season. We are going to work harder and will come back with better planning. As a player, the franchise looked after us so well,” Tahir said.
