Irfan Pathan thinks the Mumbai Indians (MI) made a mistake by not buying a No.7 batsman for the 2023 IPL.

“Cameron Green is a good buy but what about the No.7 slot. They will be one player short in the Playing XI,” he said on Star Sports.

“Cameron Green can open the innings. Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan are confirmed in the batting line-up. “Tilak Varma will come at No. 5 while Tim David will come at No. 6 but there is no clarity on the next batting slot. It seems they have missed a trick,” he added.
