Mumbai Indians to make international comeback!!

Jofra Archer will play for England in a one-day international series in South Africa next month after nearly two years of injury.

Archer emerged in 2019 and helped win the Cricket World Cup. He last played for England in March 2021.

In May, a lumbar back stress fracture derailed the 27-year-old fast bowler’s recovery from elbow surgery.

In a warmup match in Abu Dhabi last month, he trained with England’s Lions and bowled nine overs against the senior England team. That suggested he was nearing full fitness.

Archer is in a 14-man squad for the three-ODI tour of South Africa, which was postponed until December 2020 due to a COVID-19 threat.

Mumbai Indians retained him for IPL 2023. The five-time champions bought him in the IPL 2022 mega auction despite his ailment.

England: Jos Buttler (captain), Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Ben Duckett, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Olly Stone, Reece Topley, David Willey, Chris Woakes.
